Future Oil Sands Miners

There are several oil sands mining projects at various stages of development that should begin mining operations between 2008 and about 2013 (Canadian Natural Resources – Horizon Project, Petro-Canada operated Ft. Hills Project, Synenco operated Northern Lights Project, Total SA operated Joslyn Project and Imperial Oil operated Kearl project). These oil sands mining projects may add about 600,000 barrels per day of output. Canadian Natural Resources, Petro-Canada and Synenco Energy Inc. will outline their mining and upgrading development plans for their oil sands leases.
